Chandigarh: The Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh (PGI Chandigarh) has invited applications for the post of Faculty of Assistant Professor on a regular basis in various departments of PGI, Satellite Centre, Sangrur, Punjab. The selection will be made based on a personal interview.

PGI Chandigarh was conceived in 1960 as a center of excellence that would endeavor to develop teaching patterns in postgraduate medical education in as many branches as possible and attempt to produce specialists in several disciplines of medicine.

PGI Vacancy Details:

Total no of vacancies: 22

The vacancies are in the Department of - Anaesthesia, Biochemistry, Community Medicine, General Surgery, Haematology, Internal Medicine, Medical Microbiology, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics, ENT, Paediatrics, Psychiatry, Radio-diagnosis, Radiotherapy, and Transfusion Medicine and Blood Bank.

How to Apply?

1. The candidates applying for the post(s) in response to this advertisement should satisfy themselves regarding their eligibility for the aforementioned posts(s) and must fulfill all the eligibility criteria on or before 24.09.2022 failing which their application will be rejected.

2. Aspiring applicants satisfying the eligibility criteria in all respect can visit the website at www.pgimer.edu.in for generation of challan form and application form. The candidates will first fill (i) Advt. No. (ii) Post Code Number, (iii) category, and (iv) date of birth on the website and then take a printout of the application form and challan. The application form is to be filled in BLOCK LETTERS.

3. The candidates should fill his/her application form available on the PGIMER website. He/She should fill all the fields of the form. No fields should be left blank. After filling application form the candidate should deposit the application fee through challan form (Triplicate) in any branch of SBI.

4. Candidates can visit any Branch of State Bank of India with the fee Payment Challan duly filled in and pay the prescribed Application Fee in the "Power Jyoti" PUL current account of PGIMER. Account No. of PGIMER for recruitment is 35700657347. The candidates after having deposited the fee in the bank must ensure that they have Triplicate Fee Payment Challan with Journal No./Challan No. given by the bank on it. They should mention this Journal/Challan number on the space provided in the application form and keep this challan form with them for future use.

Note: In order to avoid any inconvenience, the candidates are advised to visit the bank after a gap of one-two days from the date of generation of challan.

5. Candidates should ensure that the details to be filled in by the State Bank of India officials are filled in completed in all three copies of the challan form along with the seal, challan no., and signature of the Bank Official of the Branch.

6. Candidates must note that no other form of payment of application fees like Demand Draft, Banker Cheque, Money Order, Postal order, etc. will be accepted under any circumstances. The PGIMER will not be responsible for any remittance made in any form other than the method prescribed above and such applications without requisite application fee submitted through any other mode except prescribed in column 4 above are likely to be rejected.

7. The candidates should ensure that they submit the OFFLINE application (Hard copy) immediately after payment of fees, since the same is non-refundable. No representation/request/demand for a refund of application fees will be entertained if the candidate fails to apply within the stipulated time after payment of the application fee.

8. Candidates are required to have a valid personal e-mail ID/ Mobile Number which should be kept active during the recruitment process. The candidates should ensure that the E-mail ID is not shared or mentioned to any other person. It is requested not to use any other person's e-mail ID. In case a candidate does not have a valid personal e-mail ID, he/she should create his/her new e-mail ID before applying for OFFLINE.

9. The candidate is required to clearly mention his Email ID/Mobile Number in the specified column of the application form.

10. Applicants already employed in central/state Govt. /Autonomous Institutions/ Statutory organization/ PSU'S under Central/State govt. Should route their applications through the proper channels. While forwarding the application through proper channel, a certificate to the effect that Central Govt./State Govt./ Union Territory or the present department/organization has 'No Objection' to the officer concerned may also be sent to this Institute along with the application.

11. Applicants who are working as above at Sr. No. 11 may, however, submit an advance copy of the application form in order to avoid any delay. But interview letters will only be issue to the eligible candidates upon receipt of the application forwarded through the proper channel.

12. The application in the prescribed proforma available on the PGIMER, Chandigarh website (www.pgimer.edu.in) along with copies of certificates duly attested by the Gazetted Officer in support of educational qualification(s), experience, age/date of birth certificate, No Objection Certificate from the present employer, if employed and one copy of challan form should be sent through registered post or Speed Post or personally only to the Administrative Officer (Recruitment Cell), PGIMER, Sector-12, Chandigarh 160012 so as to reach before 24.09.2022 till 01:00 PM. All the documents furnished with the application shall have to be produced in original by the eligible candidates at the time of interview.

13. The application received through Courier/Ordinary Postal Dak etc. are not acceptable. The applications received after the due date will not be accepted. The PGIMER will not be responsible for any postal delay.

14. All columns of the application are to be filled clearly including the part on the second page. Incomplete applications in any respect or received after due date i.e. 24.09.2022 or without the prescribed application fee will be summarily rejected and no correspondence in this regard will be entertained.

15. Decision of the PGIMER, Chandigarh in all matters regarding eligibility/ selection would be final and binding on all candidates. No correspondence whatsoever would be entertained by the PGIMER, Chandigarh in this regard.

16. In case any information given or declaration by the candidate is found to be false or is the candidate has willfully suppressed any material information relevant to his/her appointment he/she will be liable to be removed from services and any action may be taken as deemed fit by the appointing authority.
