Jodhpur based Gynaecologist Crowned Mrs Earth International 2018
Jodhpur: A city-based consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist, Dr. Sonal Parihar has won an international pageant contest, being crowned “Mrs. Earth International 2018″.The contest was held in Las Vegas in the month of June.
With over 19 years of experience in the field of gynecology, Dr Sonal Parihar is the director of a Multi-Specialty Hospital, Sonaa Medihub where she works in association with her orthopaedician husband, Dr Ajay. She is a proud mother of two children.
Dr Parihar holds the first division MD degree from Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi and Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG) in Gynaecology from London, UK.
She has specialty training in Advanced Laparoscopic Gynaecology surgeries, Cervical Cancer Diagnosis, prevention and treatment and painless natural birthing. She also has a special interest in tackling high-risk pregnancies.
The 45-year-old Dr Parihar, who describes herself as a ‘gynaecologist by profession and a fashionista by passion’, was crowned as the “Mrs India Earth 2017”, in October last year, post which she participated in the Mrs Earth Paegent. This glamorous event was held at the SouthPoint Spa and Casino in Las Vegas from June 6 to June 11.
Dedicated towards cervical cancer prevention, she has organized many workshops and camps regarding this and greatly indulges herself in lots of social works. Being a fitness freak for years, she also runs yoga and Zumba classes in her own hospital.
She is associated with DAP Rakshak Program- Daughters Are Precious and has recently started working with Ketto and HCWA- Handicapped Children Welfare Association towards the reduction of “Maternal mortality” in Rajasthan.
Observing her inspirational services, the Rajasthan government had chosen her as the Brand Ambassador for the prestigious “Beti Bachao Beti Padhao project“.
The Mrs Earth Pageant is the Elite international pageant system for Diverse and Poised Women. The contest aims to provide a forum that celebrates and rewards women for their outstanding accomplishments and experiences. The goal of this contest is to locate a role model that exemplifies women-hood. The successful victor will be “beautiful” both inside and out.
