KARD Strike Called off- For the Moment
With the strike of resident doctors in Karnataka moving into its 10th day now, the Karnataka Association of Resident Doctors finally met the Director of Medical Education, Karnataka at Banglore Medical College. DME has assured them that the issues of the resident doctors, in particular the stipend hike shall be addressed in the next cabinet meeting. Expecting a positive response from the cabinet meeting, KARD has decided to postpone the strike till 2nd of october, hoping that some development and decision will be made by the cabinet by then.
When spoken about the status of the strike Dr Anudeep T.C , Secretary KARD confirmed, " We are postponing the strike based on the assurance that our demands will be addressed in the cabinet meeting soon. But this is time bound. We will go back on strike if the government fails to recognise our causes."
KARD has fixed the deadline as 2nd october, 2015
