New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal urged Lt Governor Anil Baijal to approve the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Government's Doorstep delivery and Quality Health for All schemes by saying people would be benefited with its implementation.
"I urge LG to approve (Doorstep delivery and Quality Health for All) schemes. Both are of significant public interest.
People of Delhi would benefit a lot with their implementation," the Chief Minister tweeted.
The Delhi government has sent files of both the schemes to LG for his reconsideration after the Chief Minister held a meeting with Mr Baijal on these issues.
The LG had earlier refused to approve Doorstep delivery and Quality Health for All schemes citing deficiencies in it.
The Doorstep Delivery scheme aims to provide doorstep services to the people including ration card, driving license and water connection.
In Quality Health for All scheme, it was proposed that if surgery date is not given by a government hospital to a patient within a month, then he can get it done from any of the 44 private hospitals empanelled for this purpose.
