Kerala : Pediatrician commits suicide
Kochi: In what appears to be an unfortunate case of suicide , a pediatrician working with the state Muvattupuzha Taluk Hospital, Raju P B (55) of Anicaud, slit his throat and killed himself at his home on Monday. He was rushed to a city hospital immediately where he was declared brought dead as he slit his jugular vein leading to a lot of blood loss. A case of connection with a case is registered by the Muvattupuzha police.
Authorities assume that he took his life after suffering from depression which he was undergoing due to some physical ailments.
The police said that the doctor had also tried to kill himself earlier several times earlier. The doctor was found lying in a pool of blood in his room by his sister and mother, reports TOI.
He is survived by his wife Savitha and a daughter Devika.
