It is owned by the rapidly growing Corporate House of the country called the "Kothari Group, India" which was founded jointly by Kiran Kothari, Ujwal Kothari and Amol Paliya in the year 1980. The company is involved in the production of pharmaceutical products and bulk drugs, infusion solutions and oral solids, disposable syringes and needles and herbal medicines. The company has emerged significantly under the chairmanship of Chairman A K Kothari. Albert David Limited has also entered into a merger with the Japan-based company Morishita Pharmaceuticals in order to manufacture amino acids and with Germany-based company called Pharma Plan in order to manufacture medical tools.
