The company was founded by Dr. Kirtibhai Mehta and his sons Nirav Mehta and Ankur Mehta, in the year 2004. Corona Remedies Private Limited was incorporated as a private limited company on the 27th of August in the year 2004. The company in the first year of its inception launched its first division by the name Pioneer. Soon after, another division called Xemx was launched in the year 2005. The company’s expansion in the country began with Eastern and Southern parts of India in the year 2007.The company entered into the list of top ten pharmaceutical companies in the year 2010, six years after its birth. The company launched its product called Cortel, which was an anti-hypertensive drug and was an affordable alternative to the relatively costlier Telmisartan drugs available in the market. In 2018, the company acquired the brands Obimet and Thyrocab from Abbott India Ltd. The two brands were relevant in the areas of diabetes and hyperthyroidism. The company has recently signed a co-marketing agreement with the Kolkata based company Albert David Ltd. in 2021.

The manufacturing facilities of Corona Remedies Private Limited are located at Ahmedabad in Gujarat and at Solan in Himachal Pradesh. The company set up its first manufacturing facility at Solan in Himachal Pradesh in the year 2006, two years after its establishment. The facility was further expanded in 2009 and was responsible for the production in the hormone therapy area. The company manufactures its products in compliance with the International Quality Standard. Its plants have been approved by major international regulatory bodies including the World Health Organization. Corona Remedies has am international presence in countries like Philippines, Kenya, West African Countries, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Afghanistan and Maurtius.
