It was incorporated on the 14th of April in the year 1986. The pharmaceutical division of the company is mainly involved in the marketing and manufacture of nutritionals, oral and injectable antibiotics and pain killers. Galpha Laboratories Limited was started in the form of a joint venture in the year 1975. However, it became an independent entity in the year 1986 under N.K. Singh, who is the son of Alkem Laboratories Pvt Ltd. founder Samprada Singh. Alkem is an Indian multinational pharmaceutical company headquartered in Mumbai, India. During its initial days, Galpha Laboratories had operations taking place in the eastern and northeastern part of India with only a few products such as the B-Colen Syrup and the Rhumacort tablet. The company has now spread across the country and also has a strong foothold in the international markets, both regulated and emerging ones. The company was awarded the ‘Rising Company of the year award 2013’.

Galpha Laboratories Limited specializes in the therapy areas of anti-allergy, anti-pyretic, anti-infective, anti-viral, gynecology, gastroenterology, dermatology, nutritional supplements and pain management.
