Intas Pharmaceuticals Ltd.is an Indian multinational pharmaceutical company with its headquarters in Ahmedabad. The company was founded by Hasmukh Chudgar, in the year 1977 and has been handed over to Nimish, Urmish and Binish, his three sons. The company was incorporated in 1985 and has major operations in India and Europe. After its incorporation in the year 1985, the company had no major achievements for almost ten years. Though the company was founded by Hasmukh Chudgar, the credit for its escalation can be given to the tenacity and vision of his sons. Binish, the youngest of the three, has had the greatest role in raising the bar for the company, according to major industrialists. When Binish made huge investements in the establishment of a massive manufacturing plant at Matoda in Ahmedabad, people were doubtful and thought he would ruin the reputation of his father’s company. Several subsidiaries of the company function in markets all over the world, under the name of Accord Healthcare which is headquartered in Durham, North California. In 2006, Intas Biopharmaceutical got incorporated as a separate division of the company. This was done by Urmish Chudgar, Managing Director, Intas Pharmaceuticals Ltd. However, it was merged with Intas Pharmaceuticals Ltd. in 2012-2013. In the year 2019, the company made the treatment of breast cancer affordable with their formulation by the name Eleftha.
