Micro Labs Limited is an Indian pharmaceutical company with its headquarters in Bangalore. It was founded in 1973 by Mr. G.C. Surana, in Chennai and was incorporated on 07 September, 1973. Surana, who went to Bangalore looking for a job, worked as a pharma distributor at first and then started a marketing agency for a pharmaceutical company that was based in Delhi. After some time, Surana started the company called Micro Labs Limited on his own in 1973 to provide the people with affordable and quality healthcare products. A manufacturing unit for the same was established in Chennai. Soon after, in the year 1982, the company got its second production plant at Hosur, Tamil Nadu. The company began its export business in 1993 with countries like Sri Lanka, Nigeria and Qatar. By the year 1999, the country had already set up its third manufacturing unit by the name Micro Nova Pharmaceutical Pvt. Ltd. at Peenya Industrial area in Bangalore. The company went on to have multiple manufacturing plants in Pondicherry, Bangalore, Goa, Sikkim and Tamil Nadu. The management of the company has been handed over to the sons of Surana – Mr. Dilip Surana and Mr. Anand Surana. As a philanthropist, Surana has worked in the education sector to provide quality education to the economically disadvantaged people and has donated generously to several institutions including hospitals and police stations.

The company specializes in the areas of cardiac diseases, diabetes, anti-bacterial compounds, antiseptics, vitamins and pain management.

The company has an international presence in a number of countries including USA, UK, Russia, Ukraine, Nigeria, French West Africa, East Africa, Myanmar, Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Latin America, North America, East Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and North Africa. Subsidiaries of the company have been established in the USA, UK, Germany, Australia, and Nigeria under the names Micro Labs USA Inc., Brown & Burk UK Ltd., Micro Labs GmbH, Micro Labs Pty Ltd. and Micro Nova Pharmaceuticals Ind. Ltd. respectively. The company has fourteen manufacturing plants in India in Pondicherry, Bangalore, Goa, Sikkim and Tamil Nadu.
