Procter & Gamble Health Limited is an Indian multinational pharmaceutical company with its headquarters in Mumbai. It was founded as an Asian subsidiary of the Merck Group in the year 1967. The company founded by George Merck was incorporated as a private limited company on the 26th of April in the year 1967 under the name E Merck (India) Ltd. and became a public limited company in the year 1981. The name of the company was changed from Merck Ltd. to Procter & Gamble Health Limited in the year 2019 after it acquired the consumer health business of Merck KGaA in the year 2018. It is a subsidiary of the company Procter & Gamble Overseas India BV. The company in the year 1987 acquired a manufacturing facility at Indore. The unit was involved in the production of the anti-malarial drug called chloroquine phosphate. However it was later sold by the company to BDH Pharma in the year 1990.

The company specializes in the areas of cardiovascular disorders, infertility, respiratory disorders, gastro-intestinal disorders, derma therapies and over-the-counter vitamins, minerals, and supplements. The company is significantly involved in the production of neurotropics like the Encephabol and anti-psychotic drugs like the Lithocarb. Apart from these, it produces vitamin supplements under brand names like Neurobion, Polybion and Multiboonata. The company widened its scope in the year 1986 when it added the therapeutic areas of oncology, anti-malarial and anti-inflammatory.

The company has its manufacturing facilities located at Usgaon in Goa. When the unit was started by the company, it was mainly producing vitamin E. However it has now developed into a huge plant and is involved in the manufacture of various chemicals and pharmaceutical products. The company exports its manufactured products to thirteen countries. Procter & Gamble Health Limited has an international presence in many countries and exports its products to the markets of Asian countries such as Nepal, Maldives, Myanmar, and Sri Lanka. The company also operates in countries like Europe, Latin America, Middle East and Africa.
