New Delhi: In a major setback to former Miss World and MBBS medico Manushi Chillar, the Medical Council of India Board of Governors (MCI BOG) refused to give nod to her application for MBBS Migration from Haryana’s Bhagat Phool Singh Women’s Medical College to a Mumbai-based medical college.

The matter was brought up in the Board of Governors meeting on 13th June 2019, however, the board refused to give their nod to her MBBS migration.

Manushi Chillar is indeed the famed MBBS Medico, who brought laurels to the nation after she bagged the Miss World title in 2017. However, as her career outside academics progressed, her MBBS studies became a matter of controversies.

  1. I read the post and the comments of every individual posted so far. First that MCI can transfer from one college to other s there are innumerable cases where transfer has been done in the past, these are personally witnessed so am authentic about my statement.
Now if someone out of efforts have won a place and is trying to make up with her qualification then do we reserve the right to not allow such people i don\’t think so.
Our society has developed a taste of seeing poor, destitute kids going into reality shows where they are depicted poor, loss in family, some scripted struggle and whole India votes and supports these kids, they have everything to gain and nothing to lose. Now a girl comes from a good background wants to study and also fetch and achieve dreams, there that\’s the problem we depict our crab mentality, as we have not achieved something that we wanted and Munish Chiller has done it so lets pull her down and show her that you don\’t deserve a chance for a back up profession. MCI has done nothing for Dr\’s in there struggle with Anti Media, With Other pathyes prescribing there allopathy as it doesnt bother for health of the country, its only to trouble someone who either is a commoner,or a celebrity where you cant pull that person down in that profession so lets do it here. So many kids of politicians and bureaucrats have done MBBS without any knowledge there MCI was doing nothing here one kid wants to have an alternate career to fall back on then its not agreeably.
Dear Munish my advise is no one will protect you if there is mob violence, or a judgmental error in diagnosis the to be safe better do BAMS then you are safe, you can use Allopathy drugs, no MCI, NO rules, No political loop, no laws to trouble you as they are presently being formed for MBBS and you can always practice.
Remember this is a crab situation, just help those whom you can

  2. Whether transfer from one medical college to another has been allowed with certain conditions., MCI should keep transparency and should mention why this transfer can not be allowed. If she has not completed 1st year(MBBS), Then it should be mentioned that she may apply transfer after competition of 1MBBS.

  3. MCI hides under Befehl ist Befehl. Orders are orders. No exception in any case.

Plain and simple he can given admission to 2 year MBBS, with out technical hing. I have mentioned about the same almost year or two, but we Indian have developed selective 👂🚫deafness, intensional blindness, wants get everything with out much efforts. Violating rules by keeping of National ( international) leaders is our birth right✔👉. J N U IS THE HEAD QUARTERS TO TEACH SUCH TECHNIQUES.

  5. There is no credible logic behind not allowing transfers by mutual arrangement among Indian universities.
The credits should be freely transferable.
Many students need to take care of parents and family, closer to home.
The reason might be a tacit acknowledgement from the MCI of a fact everybody already knows – the standards of medical education are primitive compared to the developed world and even then there are wide disparities among colleges in India.
