Understanding ReDS™ Pro to detect pulmonary congestion in heart failure patients - Video
Overview
Congestive heart failure affects about 8 million people in India. It is associated with a high rate of admission, re-admission, and mortality with this condition. The signs and symptoms are largely due to pulmonary congestion. Early detection of congestion plays a crucial role in altering the course of the disease.
ReDS™ Pro fluid monitoring system offers a non-invasive, safe, and rapid means of assessing fluid retention in patients. It works on the principle of Remote Dielectric Sensing.
We have with us today Dr. Daniel Bensimhon, Medical Director at Advanced HF and Mechanical Circulatory Support program, Cone Health, North Carolina, USA. He has extensive experience in managing Heart Failure patients using ReDS™ Pro and has several research publications to his credit.
The ReDS™ Pro device is commercially available in India through Terumo for optimum management of Heart Failure patients in India.
