Overview
The Practical Evidence in Anaesthesia Knowledge (PEAK) is an open-access peer-reviewed journal committed to publishing high-quality articles in the field of Anaesthesiology. The journal is owned by the College of Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists and published by the Scientific Scholar.
PEAK Journal is an official publication of College of Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists (CISA). Journal publishes the best quality research articles, meta-analysis and others for the growth of the anaesthesia academics in the country.
The Medical Dialogues team interacted with the Editor- in - Chief, Dr. Sukhminder Bajwa, Honourable Secretary ISA, India. He is also the Professor & Head at the Department of Anaesthesiology & Critical Care, Gian Sagar Medical College & Hospital, Patiala, Punjab, India.
In the video, he discusses about ISA, its history in brief and how the society has been serving the healthcare fraternity of India. Dr Bajwa talks about PEAK addressing the part where while the society has its famous official journal Indian Journal of Anaesthesia, what was the need to launch PEAK.
He further sheds light on the state of clinical research in our country with the current challenges and possible solutions, how new journals like PEAK would help younger researchers to bring their ideas to a larger population.
Lastly, he shares his recommendation and piece of advice for young clinicians and researchers who wish to pursue Anaesthesia as their speciality.

Dr. Nandita Mohan
BDS, MDS( Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry)
Dr. Nandita Mohan is a practicing pediatric dentist with more than 5 years of clinical work experience. Along with this, she is equally interested in keeping herself up to date about the latest developments in the field of medicine and dentistry which is the driving force for her to be in association with Medical Dialogues. She also has her name attached with many publications; both national and international. She has pursued her BDS from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore and later went to enter her dream specialty (MDS) in the Department of Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry from Pt. Dr Sukhminder Jit Singh Bajwa is the Professor & Head of Anaesthesiology and Critical Care at Gian Sagar Medical College, Patiala, and Honorary Secretary of the Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists. With over 25 years of teaching experience and 415+ publications, his expertise spans Obstetrics, Neuroanaesthesia, Research Methodology, and Emergency Medicine. He has contributed to seven national guidelines and served in various editorial roles. Recognized for his COVID advisories endorsed by WFSA, Dr. Bajwa has received multiple awards, including the ISA National Bhopal Award (2022).
