Speakers
Dr. Guru Prakash Avvaru, MBBS, MD (General Medicine), DM (Cardiology), is a Senior Consultant Interventional Cardiologist at Yashoda Hospitals, Somajiguda, Hyderabad. With over 17 years of experience in managing acute and chronic cardiovascular diseases, he specializes in complex coronary interventions including primary PCI, left main and bifurcation stenting, and chronic total occlusions. He is experienced in advanced intravascular imaging techniques such as IVUS and OCT, as well as structural heart procedures including device closure for ASD, VSD, and PDA. Dr. Avvaru is actively involved in academic training and clinical research and is a member of the Indian Medical Association and the Cardiological Society of India. He has received several recognitions, including the Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Excellence Award for Best Cardiologist in Hyderabad (2019).
