Every year, over 17 million people die from heart disease. As a way to fight this, the World Heart Federation created World Heart Day. It’s an event held every year on September 29.
People around the world can find events that raise awareness about cardiovascular disease (CVD) — its warning signs, the steps you can take to fight it.
To have better understanding and more insights, Medical dialogues team interacted with Dr. Anil Potdar who is one of the leading cardiologists in Mumbai with a rich professional experience spanning over 30 years.
Dr. Anil Potdar has a remarkable success rate of more than 99% in cardiac intervention cases with an extremely high level of competence and has successfully performed over 1000 interventions and 2000 diagnostic procedures every year. Dr Anil Potdar is the author of several national and international publications and has been awarded multiple research grants and contracts throughout his career.
He is an active member of the National Academy of Medical Sciences, Cardiologist Society of India, Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC) and Fellow of the Society of Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (FSCAI).
