Physical exercise to improve the risk of diabetes

Overview
Diabetes is a metabolic disease that causes imbalance in body metabolism, and improper blood glucose level management is a bigger responsibility.Diabetes has been associated with several cardiovascular and kidney and nerve disorders.
According to a study in Diabetes & Metabolic Syndrome journal findings show that frequent physical activity is associated with a lower risk of diabetes in older adults. The results underscore the need to develop strategies of promoting an active lifestyle by maintaining physical activity to combat the diabetes epidemic in the older population.

Dr. Nandita Mohan is a practicing pediatric dentist with more than 5 years of clinical work experience.
