Diet changing could add life expectancy up to a decade - Video

Overview
Young adults could add more than a decade to their life expectancy by changing their diet, a new study reported. The study has been published in PLOS Medicine. Diet ranges from a typical Western diet to an optimized diet that includes more legumes, whole grains, and nuts, and less red and processed meat are the suggested diet.
The study assessed estimation of the effect on life expectancy (LE) of a range of dietary changes and has shown health benefits associated with separate food group or specific diet patterns.
