India reports 58,097 new Covid cases, 534 deaths
Covid-19 continues to rise with increasing threat to global health. India on Wednesday reported 58,097 new cases of Covid, 55% higher than yesterday and active cases increased to 2,14,004, according to union health information.
There are was a rise in new variant omicron as well, a total of 2,135 Omicron cases in India with 23 states reporting a new version of Covid-19. Maharashtra continues to be the country most affected by 653 cases followed by Delhi, with 464 cases.

This came after preliminary analysis of Adverse Drug Reactions (ADRs) from the Pharmacovigilance Programme of India (PvPI) database and a close monitoring is advised.
