The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS, NBE) has announced that the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for Postgraduate medical courses, NEET PG 2026, will be conducted on August 30, 2026, on a computer-based platform at various examination centres across the country.
As per the notice issued by NBE, the Information Bulletin for NEET PG 2026 will be available on the NBEMS website from July 1, 2026, 4:00 PM onwards. The online application process will begin on July 1, 2026, from 5:00 PM onwards and will remain open till July 21, 2026, 11:55 PM.

NBEMS Scraps First-Come, First-Serve Exam City Allotment for NEET PG 2026
The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS, NBE) has scrapped the long-followed first-come, first-serve system for allotment of test cities and examination centres for NEET PG 2026. Unlike previous years, candidates will no longer have to rush to submit their application forms during registration in the hope of securing their preferred examination city.
Announcing the change in the NEET PG 2026 Information Bulletin, NBEMS clarified that the allocation of the test state, test city and test centre will not be based on the "First Come First Serve" principle.

Indian Doctors Can Pursue US Internal Medicine Residency Through New ABIM Pilot Program
Indian doctors, who have completed their residency in their home country, are now allowed to practice medicine in the USA as the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) has launched a pilot pathway for the certification of international medical graduates who completed their residency abroad.
According to the conditions laid down by ABIM, such doctors must have completed at least 3 years of internal medicine training abroad (outside of the U.S or Canada) and have been accepted into an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME)-accredited fellowship in an ABIM subspecialty.

Four Arrested as Rajasthan Paramedical Exam Cancelled Over Paper Leak Allegations
After huge controversy over the alleged NEET UG 2026 paper leak, another exam has come under the scanner. In Rajasthan, students appearing for the Rajasthan Paramedical Council (RPMC) examination alleged serious irregularities and suspected a paper leak at an exam centre in Jaipur.
The incident took place on Tuesday at the Prabha Devi Memorial examination centre, where several students claimed that candidates seated on the second, third and fourth floors received their question papers much later than those on the ground floor.
