NExT exam for 2020 MBBS batch: Health Ministry forms committee to examine preparedness of medical colleges
In a new development on the National Exit Test (NExT), the Health Ministry has constituted a seven-member committee to look into the preparedness of states and medical colleges for the implementation of the exam for final year MBBS students of the 2020 batch.
According to a recent report by PTI, the health ministry said in an order issued on Tuesday, "It has been decided to constitute a committee with approval of the Ministry for Health and Family Welfare Mansukh Mandaviya to examine the implementation and preparedness for NExT."

Drug Safety Alert: Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission flags ADR linked to GERD drug Esomeprazole
The Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission (IPC), through its recently issued drug safety alert for the month of September, has revealed that Esomeprazole, indicated for the treatment of Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), is linked with adverse drug reactions (ADRs) named Hyperprolactinaemia.
In connection to the above, the Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission (IPC) has cautioned healthcare professionals to diligently monitor the potential occurrence of Adverse Drug Reactions (ADRs) when administering Esomeprazole.

Roche Diagnostics names Rishubh Gupta as MD for India, neighbouring markets
Roche Diagnostics India has said it has appointed Rishubh Gupta as its new Managing Director for India and neighbouring markets.
Gupta will lead and oversee the company's operations, strategy, and growth initiatives in India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal and Sri Lanka.
"His proven track record in healthcare leadership, coupled with his passion for innovation, aligns perfectly with our commitment to advancing diagnostics for better patient care in India," Roche APAC Sub-Region 1 Head Thilo Brenner said in a statement.
