NEET 2024: Awarding grace marks was 'arbitrary', plea in SC demands re-NEET, recall of results
The demands for re-conduction of the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET-UG) 2024 examination are escalating further as another plea has been filed before the Supreme Court seeking to recall the results of the NEET UG 2024 exam and praying for the conduct of a fresh examination.
Approaching the Apex Court bench, the petitioners have alleged widespread discrepancies in the NEET results and also highlighted the alleged arbitrariness of the grant of grace marks.

Nearly 500 out of 706 medical colleges slapped show-cause notice by NMC for MSR non-compliance: report
Around 500 medical colleges out of the 706 colleges across the country have received show-cause notices from the Apex Medical Commission for failure to comply with the National Medical Commission's (NMC) Minimum Standard Requirement (MSR), Education Times has reported.
Moreover, as per the media report by Live Mint, show-cause notices were issued to nearly 80% of Indian Medical Colleges for not meeting even the minimum criteria laid down by the Commission.

JP Nadda to take charge as union health minister; Anupriya Patel, Prataprao Ganpatrao Jadhav get MOS positions
After serving the country as Union Health Minister, in Modi Government 1.0, Shri Jagat Prasad Nadda is all set to reclaim the position in the recently formed Modi Cabinet 3.0. Additionally, he will also be heading the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers as a cabinet minister.
The two portfolios of Health and Chemical and Fertilizers, of which the pharmaceutical sector is a part, were earlier held by Shri Mansukh Mandavia, who will now serve as the Labour and Employment minister
