In a surprising case, doctors observed the growth of what appeared to be a breast inside a woman's vulva
Doctors observed the growth of what appeared to be a breast inside a 24-year-old Persian woman's vulva. After ignoring the painless growth for 12 years, she then decided to get it checked.
Doctors sent the samples for testing after the removal of growth. Following this, they came to know that the mass was made from best tissue thereby suggesting that it was an accessory breast.

Union Health Ministry releases standard treatment guidelines for Sickle Cell Anaemia
Dr Bharati Pravin Pawar, Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare, launched the third phase of the Thalassemia Bal Sewa Yojana (TBSY) of the Health Ministry, which is being supported by Coal India Limited as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative to commemorate World Thalassemia Day.
She also launched the Thalassemia Bal Sewa Yojana Portal. Shri Rajesh Bhushan, Union Health Secretary, Shri Anil Kumar Jha, Secretary, Ministry of Tribal Affairs and Dr Rajiv Bahl, Secretary, Department of Health Research, were also present.

FMG internship in India: NMC releases clarification on CRMI, check out details
Putting an end to the confusion of the Foreign Medical Graduates (FMGs), the National Medical Commission (NMC) has now issued a clarification regarding the conduct of internships for medical graduates from abroad.
Issuing a circular in this regard on May 9, 2023, the President of UG Medical Education Board (UGMEB), Dr. Aruna V Vanikar addressed several issues including important provisions under CRMI Regulations 2021 for the FMGs, validation for Online study by Commission, applicability of NMC Public notice dated 28.07.2022 on FMGs, requirement of Domicile by FMGs for internship, completion of Internship by FMGs in parts at hospitals and medical colleges, issue concerning payment of stipend to FMGs, and one-time relaxation to Foreign Medical Graduates to complete internship.

NMC allows FMG internship in 679 non-teaching hospitals as one-time relaxation, details
Offering one-time relaxation to the Foreign Medical Graduates (FMG) who were facing difficulties to join the mandatory internship programme in India due to the limited number of seats in the medical colleges, the National Medical Commission (NMC) has allowed them to get enrolled at the non-teaching hospitals for this purpose.
In the recent circular, the president of the Undergraduate Medical Education Board (UGMEB) of NMC has validated the list of 679 Recognized Non-Teaching Hospitals for Compulsory Rotating Medical Internship issued by the erstwhile Medical Council of India (MCI) for a period of one year up to May 2024, for the conduct of Internships of medical graduates from abroad only.
