Only Candidates With Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English In 10+2 Eligible For NEET: NMC Tells Supreme Court
The National Medical Commission has recently clarified before the Supreme Court that a candidate must undergo 10+2 courses along with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English if they want to become eligible to appear in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET).
Such a clarification came from the apex medical regulator while referring to the Code 2 in the NEET Brochure, which clearly says, "The Higher/Senior Secondary Examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination which is equivalent to 10+2 Higher/Senior Secondary Examination after a period of 12 years study, the last two years of such study comprising of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology (which shall include practical tests in these subjects) and Mathematics or any other elective subject with English at a level not less than the core course for English as prescribed by the National Council of Educational Research and Training after the introduction of the 10+2+3 educational structure as recommended by the National Committee on Education."

Minister Of Health And Family Welfare Reports Rising Anemia Cases In India
As per WHO report on global prevalence of anaemia 2011, cases of anaemia are attributed to iron deficiency, micronutrient deficiencies (e.g. folate, riboflavin, vit-A and B-12), acute and chronic infections (e.g. malaria, cancer, tuberculosis, parasitic infections and HIV), and inherited or acquired disorders that affect haemoglobin synthesis (e.g. haemoglobinopathies), Rajya Sabha was told on Tuesday.
The National Nutrition Anaemia Prophylaxis Programme was launched in 1970 to prevent nutritional Anaemia in mothers and children. The programme was expanded and revised under the National Iron Plus Initiative (NIPI) in 2013 in an attempt to look at the Iron Deficiency Anaemia comprehensively across all life stages including adolescents and women in reproductive age group who are not pregnant or lactating.

Novartis India enters distribution pact with DRL for top brands, to lay off 400 employees
Drugmaker, Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd., has recently announced that the company has entered into an exclusive sales and distribution agreement with Novartis India Limited (NIL) for the Voveran range, the Calcium range and Methergine in India.
Under the arrangement, Dr. Reddy's will have exclusive rights to promote and distribute the well-established Voveran range, the Calcium range and Methergine in India.
