Delhi hospital treats Dutch man with rare form of tinnitus

Doctors at a Delhi hospital have treated a man from The Netherlands, suffering from a rare form of tinnitus, which affected his daily life and activities.

Tinnitus is the perception of an abnormal sound in the ear, and may be a constant or an intermittent mush or an annoying ringing or hissing sound.

But the middle-aged Dutch man suffered from pulsatile tinnitus where he had been enduring a constant, non-stop, loud whoosh present throughout the day and night for over two years. It would coincide with each of his heartbeats.

1275 approvals granted to medical colleges for MBBS, PG medical, SS seats this year: NMC releases list amidst fake permission letter scam

Resident doctors at Chandigarh GMCH-32 commence strike today

Resident doctors at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Sector 32, are planning to go on strike starting Tuesday to demand the implementation of central pay scales. On the first day of the strike, they will cease outpatient department (OPD) services.

Professor S. N. Sankhwar, a renowned urologist and the distinguished Head of the Department of Urology at King George's Medical University (KGMU) in Lucknow has been appointed as the Director of the prestigious Institute of Medical Sciences at Banaras Hindu University (BHU).
