MCC to medical colleges: Update admission details of NEET SS candidates or face cancellation

Through a recent notice, the Medical Counselling Committee, operative under the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) has instructed all the medical institutes to furnish the admission related information of NEET-SS counselling or face cancellation of admissions.

Accordingly, all the colleges, who did not update the admission data of Round-2 of NEET SS counselling have been directed to urgently report to MCC with the list of candidates and the copies of offline admissions letters.

NEET PG 2022 will not be postponed: SC

Observing that the deferment will cause hardships to the thousands of those MBBS doctors who have been preparing for the exam, the Supreme Court of India has rejected the pleas to postpone NEET-PG 2022 scheduled for May 21.

On May 10, the top court had agreed to hear the plea by doctors after repeated demands to the central government to postpone the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduate Admissions, NEET PG 2022 exam, citing the delay and clash with the ongoing NEET PG 2021 counselling.

Hair transplant surgeries by unqualified technicians a serious concern: HC

A concern has been raised by the Delhi High Court over the mushrooming of salons extending hair transplant procedures by unqualified people without any medical supervision.

The victim, who paid Rs 30,000 for the procedure, developed a painful scalp followed by swelling on the face and shoulders and subsequently passed away during the course of treatment at a hospital.

400 Ahmedabad hospitals under threat of closure due to unrenewed registration

The members of Ahmedabad Hospitals & Nursing Homes Association (AHNA) have informed the media persons in a press conference that around 400 hospitals and nursing homes in the city are facing an imminent threat of closure in the city due to the non-renewal of Form C, which is required for the registration of a medical establishment.

As per a media report in the Indian Express, the Ahmedabad Hospitals and Nursing Homes Association (AHNA) on Saturday appealed to the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) to waive the mandatory requirement of valid building use (BU) certificate for renewal of Form-C registration for medical establishments.
