Overview
Here are the top health news for the day:
The Bengaluru bench of Karnataka High Court recently denied quashing an FIR and case proceedings against a doctor for her alleged involvement in the sex-change operation on a minor boy.
Observing that it was not possible to "come to a conclusion that there are no offences which have been made out, there are no grounds which have been made out for quashing of the proceedings", the High Court bench comprising of Justice Suraj Govindraj directed the concerned doctor, Dr Patil raise all the defences before the trial court.
While considering a plea concerning non-payment of stipend to the MBBS interns of Army College of Medical Science, the Supreme Court bench on Monday issued notice to the institute for violating the National Medical Commission (Compulsory Rotating Medical Internship) Regulations, 2021.
Issuing notice in the matter, the top court bench comprising of Justices D.Y. Chandrachud and Hima Kohli also directed the Additional Solicitor General, Col Bala Subramanium to look into the matter.

Rs 54.5 lakh bond for AFMS MD, MS, DNB admissions this year
For this academic year's admissions, the Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) has imposed the Bond Service rule of levying Rs 54.5 lakh if five-year compulsory service is not provided by the MD, MS, and DNB medicos after completing their courses.
At the time of admission, as per the information bulletin, the MD, MS and DNB Civilian candidates are required to sign a bond calling 5 years of compulsory service with the armed forces after completing their courses.

Rs 54.5 Lakh Bond For AFMS MD, MS, DNB Admissions This Year
The Union Health Ministry on Tuesday released the National List of Essential Medicines (NLEM) 2022. The new list comprises of 384 drugs across 27 therapeutic categories.
With the new list of essential medicines (also called scheduled drugs) out, several essential medicines are set to get cheaper in India. These include medicines like anti-diabetes drug insulin glargine, anti TB drug delamanid, ivermectin and antiparasite.
