The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced that the re-examination for NEET UG 2026 will be conducted on June 21, 2026, following approval from the Government of India.
Sharing the update on its official X handle, NTA said, “NEET (UG) 2026 — Examination Date Announced. The National Testing Agency, with the approval of the Government of India, has scheduled the re-examination of NEET (UG) 2026 on Sunday, 21 June 2026.”

NEET Hybrid Examination Model Under Consideration Amid Ongoing Paper Leak Investigation: Report
Amid the ongoing controversy and protests following the unprecedented cancellation of the undergraduate medical entrance examination i.e., NEET UG 2026, the Central Government is examining the possibility of implementing a hybrid examination model, Economic Times has reported.
Under this new model, the question papers could be transmitted digitally to the examination centres and printed locally under secure conditions. According to officials, this model is being considered a safer alternative because conducting a fully online exam for 23 lakh candidates remains difficult due to infrastructure and logistics challenges.

Chaos ensued at Jaipur's Sawai Man Singh (SMS) Hospital on Wednesday morning following a bomb threat demanding Rs 40 crore; the caller warned that if the money was not paid, he would blow up the hospital premises.
According to reports, a threatening message was received at the State Police Control Room early on Wednesday morning. Following this, several police teams, bomb disposal squads, and security personnel immediately rushed to the hospital and conducted a search operation that lasted nearly two to three hours.
