AIIMS-Delhi to provide free insulin vials to poor patients suffering from diabetes
Marking the celebration of the World Diabetes Day, premier medical institution All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi (AIIMS Delhi) has announced its decision to provide insulin for free to poor patients suffering from diabetes.
Patients prescribed insulin from any AIIMS outpatient department will be provided free insulin vials, said Dr Rima Dada, the professor in-charge of AIIMS’ media cell.

Specifying what makes a Registered Medical Professional (RMP) a "Good Doctor", the National Medical Commission (NMC) has emphasized the need for understanding, compassion, and empathy by doctors while dealing with the families of patients in catastrophic events.
Further, the Apex Medical Commission opined that in cases of emergencies, a continuous communication channel must always be available. NMC also advised the doctors to ensure proper documentation to avoid litigations in the future.

Uzbekistan opens door for over 1000 Indian MBBS students evacuated from war-torn Ukraine
Over 1,000 Indian medical students evacuated from war-torn Ukraine in 2021 have resumed their studies after Uzbekistan allowed them to transfer. The Indian Embassy in Ukraine contacted the Samarkand State Medical University in Uzbekistan to enquire about the feasibility of affected students seeking transfers.
To bring back stranded Indians in Ukraine, the Indian government initiated 'Operation Ganga.' According to official reports, a considerable number of Indian nationals were successfully evacuated through this initiative. Approximately 19,000 Indian students were enrolled in Ukrainian universities at the onset of the Russian invasion in February 2021.
