In a shocking incident, a 27-year-old woman has been arrested for allegedly posing as an All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) doctor and duping a man of around Rs 1 lakh promising to expedite his daughter's treatment, police said on Wednesday.
The accused has been identified as Shubhi Trivedi, a resident of Badaun district in Uttar Pradesh, they said.

MBBS doctors unable to take PG medical admission due to lack of NMC recognition: HC issues notice to institute, NMC, Centre
While considering the plea by the MBBS students of Chandulal Chandrakar Memorial Medical College, who are unable to take postgraduate medical admission due to the pending issue of recognition of the institute, the Chhattisgarh High Court has issued notice to the National Medical Commission (NMC), Central and State Government.
Notice has also been issued to Chandulal Chandrakar Memorial Medical College, Durg, and National Testing Agency (NTA) as the High Court has sought their reply in this regard.

In a shocking incident, the Thane police have busted a child-selling racket and arrested a woman doctor including four others who allegedly tried to sell a 20-day-old boy for Rs 7 lakh.
A woman doctor including four others have been arrested by the Thane police in Maharashtra for allegedly attempting to sell a 20-day-old boy, an official said on Thursday.
Those arrested include the mother of the infant, a 61-year-old doctor and three agents, Thane Crime Branch Unit I senior inspector Dileep Patil told PTI.

NMC permission for two private medical colleges in Gujarat, 300 MBBS seats to be added
Bringing good news to the medical aspirants in Gujarat, the National Medical Commission (NMC) has given its permission for two private medical colleges in Gujarat.
The Apex medical commission has granted approval for 150 seats in each of these two colleges located in Kalol in the Gandhinagar district of the State.
With this, another 300 MBBS seats have been added to the State's seat matrix ahead of medical admissions this year. Both of these two private medical colleges will be affiliated to the Gujarat University.
