Money laundering case: Surya Pharma properties worth Rs 185 crore attached by ED
The Directorate of Enforcement (ED) has attached properties worth Rs 185.1 crore belonging to Surya Pharmaceuticals Ltd in a money laundering case.
The attached properties include building, plant, and machinery, the ED said in a statement on Tuesday.
The enforcement agency has taken the action under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002.
ED initiated an investigation under the provisions of PMLA, 2002 on the basis of 2 FIRs registered by CBI on the complaint of State Bank of India, Chandigarh, and Punjab and Sind Bank, Karnal against Surya Pharmaceuticals Ltd, its Managing Director Rajiv Goyal and others for defrauding the banks to the tune of Rs 828 crore.

NMC reiterates guidelines for implementing Aadhaar enabled Biometric Attendance System in Medical Colleges
The National Medical Commission (NMC) has released the Guidelines for the implementation of the Aadhaar Enabled Biometric Attendance System in Medical Colleges.
Issuing a notice in this regard, the NMC referred to its 'Minimum Requirement for Annual MBBS Admissions Regulation, 2020', Section-A.1.15(a) which mentions:
a) Biometric attendance:
i) All Medical Colleges/Institutions shall install biometric attendance machine for regularly capturing the attendance of human resources as specified in these regulations.

DME Haryana begins round 1 NEET MBBS, BDS counselling, check out details
The DME Haryana has begun Counselling for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses in all Government/Government Aided/Private Unaided Medical/Dental Institutes including those under SGT University, Budhera, Gurugram, PDM University Bahadurgarh, Jhajjar and Al-Falah University, Village Dhoj, Faridabad in the State of Haryana for the Academic Session 2022-23.
It is for the information of all the eligible candidates desirous of seeking admission to MBBS/BDS courses for the Academic Session 2022-23 that admission to MBBS/BDS courses for the Academic Session 2022-23 shall be conducted through Online Combined Centralized Counselling for the all Government/Government Aided/Private Unaided Medical/Dental Institute including those under Private Universities i.e. SGT University, Budhera, Gurugram and PDM University, Bahadurgarh and AI-Falah University Village Dhoj, Faridabad in the State of Haryana.

NO Relief: Supreme Court cancels delayed PG medical admissions of 8 MBBS Doctors, says schedule must be followed strictly
Reiterating the need for strictly adhering to the admission time schedule, the Supreme Court has cancelled the Postgraduate medical admission of eight MBBS doctors, who had been earlier given relief by the Calcutta High Court.
However, the top court bench comprising of Justices Ajay Rastogi and CT Ravikumar set aside the order of the HC as it noted that the High Court had ignored the principles of merit while granting provisional admissions to those doctors and later while regularising them.
