Health Ministry reduces NEET PG 2023 cut-off percentile to zero
In a major relief to the Postgraduate medical aspirants this year, the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) has directed the National Medical Commission (NMC) to reduce the cut-off for qualifying percentile for NEET-PG 2023 to "Zero" across all categories.
Writing to the Secretary of the Apex Medical Commission, the Union Health Ministry informed, "I am directed to refer to the above-mentioned subject and to say that the recommendation for a reduction in qualifying percentile for Post Graduate Courses for 2023 (NEET-PG 2023) has been considered in the Ministry."

NMC bags 10-year WFME recognition for medical education
In a recent Press Release, the National Medical Commission (NMC) has announced its momentous achievement of being awarded the coveted World Federation for Medical Education (WFME) Recognition Status for a remarkable tenure of 10 years.
"This prestigious recognition is a testament to NMC's unwavering commitment to the highest standards in medical education and accreditation," the release issued by NMC Media/ Publication House stated.

Rajasthan: Baby born with 26 fingers and toes
A baby was recently born in a hospital in Rajasthan, Northwestern India, with an unusual physical feature – 14 fingers and 12 toes. The newborn girl possesses seven fingers on each hand and six toes on each foot. Doctors have classified this condition as a genetic anomaly, and while it is a unique physical trait, the baby is reported to be in good health.
Several Delhi hospitals witnessing surge in dengue patients
Several hospitals in Delhi are seeing an increased footfall of dengue patients, doctors said on Tuesday, even as the city's civic body has not released reports on vector-borne diseases for the last several weeks.
Sources at the Ram Manohar Lohia (RML) Hospital here said on Tuesday that a 38-year-old woman suffering from dengue died on September 17 at the Centre-run medical facility.
This was the fourth dengue patient to die at the hospital this season so far, they said.
