More than 300 clinical seats vacant: Doctors demand special round of NEET PG counselling
Doctors have expressed their concern over the huge number of vacant Postgraduate medical seats belonging to clinical specialities. Taking up this issue, the doctors under the umbrella of Federation of All India Medical Association (FAIMA) recently approached the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
Pointing out that more than 300 clinical seats are lying vacant, the doctors have demanded to conduct one special round of NEET PG Counselling on immediate basis.

HC orders state to revise ranking list for MBBS under sports quota
Providing relief to 18-year-old National level diving champion, the Karnataka High Court has recently issued directions to the Department of Youth Services and Sports to revise the ranking list involving the petitioner and three others regarding their eligibility for admission to undergraduate medical courses under the sports quota.
After revising the ranking list, the Department of Youth Services and Sports has been directed to submit the list to the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA).

Bombay High Court orders doctors to treat on emergency basis without delay
The Nagpur bench of Bombay High Court recently clarified that doctors are required to treat patients on emergency basis without any delay and therefore it should be ensured that doctors do not have to face any shortage of medicines or medical equipment while providing treatments to patients.
"...if the treating Doctors are required to face shortage of medicines or medical equipments or both, one can imagine the fate of patients in need of emergency treatment," noted the High Court bench Division Bench of Justice Sunil B. Shukre and Justice M.W. Chandwani.

Practo, Healthians, 1mg violate IMC Ethics Code, Delhi HC issues notice
The Delhi High Court on Tuesday sought the stand of the Centre and the Delhi government on a petition by the Association of Practising Pathologists seeking action against health service aggregators over allegedly misleading advertisements, ridiculous discounts and unsolicited messages.
Justice Prathiba M Singh issued notices on the petition by the association and also made certain online platforms, including Healthians, Tata 1mg and Practo, parties to the proceedings. The court asked these platforms as well as the governments, GST Council and the National Medical Commission to file their response within six weeks.
