NEET MDS 2024: Exam rescheduled, to be conducted on March 18
Confirming the recent news reports, the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has informed that the NEET MDS 2024 examination will be conducted on 18th March 2024.
Issuing a notice on 20th January 2024, NBE further inform NEET MDS,neet mds 2024,National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences,NBEd that the cut-off date for eligibility to appear in the NEET MDS 2024 exam shall be 31st March 2024.

WHO calls for world pandemic treaty to prepare for deadly ‘Disease X’
World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General Tedros Ghebreyesus has urged countries to endorse the organization's pandemic treaty in preparation for a potential future threat known as "Disease X." Speaking at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Ghebreyesus expressed hope for a global agreement on pandemics by May to address this hypothetical virus, which scientists believe could be 20 times deadlier than COVID-19. Disease X is a placeholder for a yet-unknown virus added to the WHO's list in 2017 as a potential cause of a severe international epidemic.
NMC PGMER 2023 exam eligibility criteria
Releasing the Postgraduate Medical Education Regulations 2023 (PGMER-2023), the National Medical Commission (NMC) has specified the conditions that a post-graduate medical student needs to fulfil to be eligible to appear in the final examination.
In Chapter V of the regulations, NMC discussed the training requirements for PG medical students. The Commission mentioned that a post-graduate student of a degree course in broad speciality/super speciality will have to do at least one of the following to be eligible to appear in his/her final examination"

AIIMS New Delhi appoints first female Medical Superintendent
In a remarkable milestone, Dr Nirupam Madaan has become the first woman to be appointed as the new Medical Superintendent (MS) of the premier health institution, the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi.
This appointment marks a historic moment as it is the first time in the 68 years of the institute's existence that a female doctor has assumed this role in India's leading central tertiary care hospital.

DCA raids medical distributor for improper storage of Insulin injections worth Rs 5 lakhs
Officials from the Drugs Control Administration (DCA), Telangana, conducted a raid on the premises of a medical distributor in Kapra, uncovering a substantial stock of Insulin injections valued at Rs. 5 lakh.
The medical distributor, Sree Raja Rajeshwara Medical Distributors, located at Jai Jawan Colony, Kapra Village & Mandal, Medchal-Malkajgiri District, was found to be storing Insulin injections at room temperature, a condition that can lead to the degradation of insulin and loss of its potency, a DCA statement said on Saturday.
