Gurugram hospital conducts India's first 3-way liver transplant swap, saves 3 lives
Doctors at Gurugram-based Medanta Hospital have successfully performed the country's first three-way transplant swap, in which three patients simultaneously received life-saving liver transplants. The patients were suffering from terminal liver failure, each needing an urgent liver transplant to survive.

NMC gives deadline to all medical colleges to submit MBBS admissions info online
The Undergraduate Medical Education Board (UGMEB) of the National Medical Commission (NMC) recently directed all the medical colleges/institutes to submit the details of the students who got admitted in the MBBS course during the academic year 2022-2023.
NMC issued such a direction to ensure that all the MBBS admissions have been made while adhering to the judicial decisions and MCI / NMC Regulations, to make sure that no admission has been made beyond intake capacity, and eligibility criteria, qualifying marks specified under the Regulation on Graduate Medical Education, 1997 are being followed.

IPCA labs, Cadila Healthcare among 16 Indian Pharma Firms blacklisted in Nepal
In a major setback, Nepal has banned import of medicines from 16 Indian pharmaceutical companies including IPCA Laboratories, Cadila Healthcare, Baba Ramdev promoted Divya Pharmacy for allegedly failing to comply with the World Health Organization's (WHO) Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Nepal's Department of Drug Administration has released a list of 16 Indian pharmaceutical companies. IPCA Labs in South Sikkim and Ahmedabad-based Cadila Healhcare have also been mentioned in the list that do not comply regulatory compliance apart from Divya Pharmacy, which is part of yoga guru Ramdev's business conglomerate Patanjali Ayurved.
