NMC nod to 150 MBBS seats to private medical college at Kancheepuram
Another 150 MBBS seats have now been added to the seat matrix of Tamil Nadu since the National Medical Commission has given its approval for a new self-financing medical college, PSP Medical College and Research Institute in Kancheepuram.
With the NMC nod for this new medical college, which will be affiliated to Tamil Nadu Dr MGR Medical University, the total number of MBBS seats in Tamil Nadu will increase further by 150 MBBS seats.

Postpone NEET PG 2023: Aspirants submit fresh representation to NMC
While the Apex court bench is likely to hear the plea seeking postponement of NEET PG exam, the protesting students recently met the officials of the National Medical Commission (NMC) and submitted a representation in this regard.
The aspirants met the NMC Officials along with Advocate Ravi Ponempalli in compliance with the recent order passed by the Telangana High Court.
Medical Dialogues had earlier reported that even though the Telangana High Court had denied to postpone the PG medical and dental entrance tests, it had allowed the aspirants to submit a fresh representation to the authorities.

NEET PG 2023 aspirant, father commit suicide in Madurai
In a shocking incident, a Tamil Nadu based aspirant of National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Postgraduate (NEET-PG) Examination recently committed suicide and unable to face the news of his son's death, the father of the aspirant also killed himself.
While the NEET PG aspirant was an MBBS graduate, his father was employed in the Police Department. Sharing the news, the Twitter page of Indian Doctor, a health activist, mentioned, "Heartbreaking Incidents ! Dr Tamilvenum ,MBBS #Madurai A #NEETPG2023 aspirants who died due to suicide !! After hearing Son death, His father Who was working in Police HC also died due to suicide in evening #RIP."

First Year MD Anaesthesia medico of Kakatiya Medical College attempts suicide, alleges harassment by senior
A junior doctor pursuing PG in Anaesthesiology at Kakatiya Medical College (KMC), Warangal, allegedly attempted suicide on Wednesday by taking some injections, reportedly after being harassed by one of her seniors.
A junior doctor on Wednesday allegedly tried to commit suicide by taking some injections at Kakatiya Medical College in Telangana's Warangal.
She is undergoing treatment at Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) Hyderabad as her condition is said to be critical.
