NEET PG 2026 Likely on August 30, Tentative Schedule Released
In a major update for PG aspirants this year, the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS), NBE has released the tentative exam dates for NEET PG 2026 and NEET MDS 2026.
According to the notification issued by the NBE on its official website today, January 22, 2026, the cut-off date for completion of internship for NEET PG 2026 candidates has been fixed as September 30, 2026. The examination will be conducted in computer-based mode at various test centres across the country on August 30th, 2026.

NEET PG Counselling: MCC Increases PG Medical Seats by 73 in Round 3
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has announced the addition of postgraduate medical seats to the Round 3 seat matrix of the NEET PG Counselling for the academic year 2025.
According to an official notice issued by the MCC, the Committee has received information on 22 January 2026 from 2 Institutes to add 4 seats in the seat matrix of Round-3 of PG Counselling 2025.

UP Shocker: NEET Aspirant Chops Off Own Foot for Disability Certificate
In a shocking turn of events, a 25-year-old man, who hails from Khalilpur Village in the Line Bazaar police station area of Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh, was found to have amputated his own toe on his left foot to reportedly become eligible for disability quota in the National Eligibility-Entrance Test (NEET) examination.
Confirming this before the media, Assistant Superintendent of Police and CO City Goldy Gupta on Thursday said that the police teams involved in the investigation have collected substantial evidence.
