NMC releases TEQ qualifications in Medical Institutions Regulations 2022
Comprehensively laying down out the fundamentals for standardising recruitment of doctors towards their entry into medical academia, the National Medical Commission (NMC) has released the "Teachers Eligibility Qualifications in Medical Institutions Regulations 2022" in its recently issued gazette. These TEQ Regulations 2022 published via a gazette issued by the NMC's PG.

Hospital cannot deny treatment on ground of anyone's place of residence: High Court
Providing relief to a pregnant woman, who had been denied treatment at GMCH-16 Chandigarh because of her place of residence, the High Court of Punjab and Haryana recently clarified that a Government hospital cannot deny treatment on the ground of anyone's place of residence.
Observing that denying treatment on that basis violates a person's right to life and liberty, the HC bench comprising of Justice Rajbir Sehrawat noted, "Otherwise, also, the petitioner cannot be subjected to discrimination only on the ground of her place of residence. That, in fact, is a direct violation of fundamental right of the petitioner. Denying her treatment on the above said ground also violates her the right to life and liberty without there being any justifiable reason. This decision or even tendency of Government medical facility cannot be countenanced; by any means."

The Director of Medical Education (DME) has released the list of revised vacancies in private medical colleges (MD/MS course) for round 2-NEET PG counselling.
Total 402 vacant seats are there across 7 colleges.

1. Peoples College of Medical Science, Bhopal - 57
2. R.D.Gardi Medical College,Ujjain - 62
3. Sri Aurbindo Institute Of Medical Sciences, Indore - 85

PGI Chandigarh doctors see red after colleague slapped on patient demise
A resident doctor working at Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGI), Chandigarh became a punching bag to a grieving attendant after he was slapped by a lady on the demise of her mother. Responding to the incident the Association of Resident Doctors (ARD) of the prestigious institute has demanded strict implementation of the law against violence and attack on docs by demanding strict implementation of security at the hospital.
