Delhi reports first case of Monkeypox with no travel history
The Government has held a high-level review meeting after a 34-year-old man from the national capital with no history of foreign travel tested positive for the monkeypox virus, becoming the fourth case of the disease reported in India.
Sources said the meeting was chaired by the Directorate General of Health Sciences (DGHS) and attended by officials from the Health ministry, National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) and ICMR. The new patient who is presently recovering at a designated isolation centre at the Lok Nayak hospital had attended a stag party in Manali in Himachal Pradesh recently, official sources told PTI.

MCC NEET SS counselling for 749 DM, MCh, DNB SS seats: Check out complete schedule, seat matrix here
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has released the full schedule and detailed seat matrix of the 748 vacant seats for which it is going to conduct the special Mop-Up round 2 for NEET SS 2021 qualified candidates.
Medical Counselling Committee of DGHS had conducted 2 rounds of Super Specialty (DM/ MCh/ DNB SS) seats followed by a Mop-up round and a Special Mop Up Round. However, still, 748 Super Speciality seats are vacant even after the completion of 4 rounds of Counselling.

Not following ABC of trauma care: NCDRC slaps Rs 30 lakh compensation on hospital, surgeon for negligence
The National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission recently held Kerala based Hospital and a Facio Maxillary Surgeon, vicariously guilty of medical negligence while conducting interdental wiring on a patient suffering from maxillo facial injuries.
Observing that the doctors of the hospital had not even adopted even the basics of ABC of trauma while handling the patient, who died from asphyxia, the top consumer court directed them to pay Rs 30 lakh as compensation to the family of the deceased patient.
