HC relief to doctor, says bond service ineffective if rural postings not given within stipulated time
The Jabalpur bench of Madhya Pradesh High Court recently opined that the rural service bond, which ensures that doctors serve the rural areas after the completion of the UG or PG medical courses, becomes ineffective if the doctors are not given postings within a stipulated time frame.
Such a significant opinion was expressed by the bench while it was considering the plea of doctor who did not serve the rural service bond after his completion of the course back in 2017.

Institutes with proper infrastructure should be encouraged to run Ayurvedic medical colleges: HC
Referring to the fact that India has been promoting the Ayurvedic System of Medicine, the Delhi High Court bench recently opined that the institutes possessing the necessary infrastructure should be encouraged to set up Ayurvedic Medical Colleges for boosting up the infrastructure of Indian System of Medicine.
"Our country has, after the outbreak of the covid-19 pandemic, been staunchly promoting the Ayurvedic system of medicine, and therefore, it is the need of the hour to encourage such institutes as the petitioner, which possess the necessary infrastructure for running ayurvedic medical colleges, to contribute to the bigger goal of strengthening the infrastructure of this system of medicine in the country," the bench noted providing relief to an institute seeking permission to start Ayurvedic College.

Supreme Court on plea seeking fresh registration in NRI quota before mop up counselling
Granting permission to file a Special Leave Petition by NRI quota students seeking time for fresh registration before mop-up round of NEET counselling, the Supreme Court recently issued notice in the matter.
In fact, the top court bench comprising of Justices DY Chandrachud and Surya Kant has also asked the State of Kerala to inform the court about the unfilled vacant seats after the mop-up round.

Over 17 lakh people in India contracted HIV via unprotected sex in last 10 years: RTI reply
According to the data provided by National AIDS Control Organisation (NACO) in response to an RTI query, more than 17 lakh people contracted Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) in the last 10 years due to unprotected intercourse in India,
In response to the RTI query filed by Madhya Pradesh-based activist Chandra Shekhar Gaur, the National AIDS Control Organisation (NACO) stated that 17,08,777 people contracted HIV by unprotected sex between 2011-2021 in India.
