Doctor uses Apple Watch to save woman’s life while on a flight
A doctor demonstrated the life-saving potential of an Apple Watch on an Italy-bound flight when a passenger experienced shortness of breath. Dr. Rashid Riaz used the Blood Oxygen app on the smartwatch to identify the woman's low oxygen saturation level when the onboard equipment proved inadequate. Responding swiftly, he administered treatment using an onboard oxygen cylinder and continuously monitored her oxygen levels throughout the flight. Upon landing, he handed over the patient to medical staff. It was reported that the woman recovered quickly under the doctor's care.
