Man finds medicine in food ordered from famous Mumbai cafe
A Mumbai resident, Ujwal Puri, claimed to have found a strip of tablets in the dish he ordered from the renowned Leopold Cafe through Swiggy. The food in question was chicken in oyster sauce. Mr. Puri shared images and a video of the unexpected discovery, expressing his surprise on social media and tagging Swiggy. The incident quickly gained attention, prompting Swiggy to respond to the complaint. The company assured Mr. Puri that they would address the issue through direct messages. In the aftermath, internet users commented on the perceived decline in service and quality at Leopold Cafe over the years.
Adenovirus Alert: ICMR cautions West Bengal Govt over deadly variant in kids
Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has cautioned the West Bengal health department over the prevalence of a deadly variant of adenovirus among the children in Kolkata and its adjacent districts.
The revelation has been made following the recent findings of the ICMR- affiliated National Institute of Cholera and Enteric Diseases (NICED)- based on sample testing of persons for adenovirus.

CDSCO Drug Alert: 64 Drug samples flagged
In its latest drug safety alert, the apex drug regulatory body, the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO) has flagged 62 medicine batches for failing to qualify for a random drug sample test for November– 2023, while two drug samples have been declared misbranded and spurious.
These drug samples which are declared not of standard quality include Meropenem Injection IP 0.5 g manufactured by Bharat Parenterals, Artesunate injection IP (Zynate) manufactured by Jackson Laboratories, Montelukast Sodium and Levocetirizine Hydrochloride Tablets I.P. manufactured by Unicure India, Ciprofloxacin tablets I.P. 500 mg manufactured by ANG Lifesciences India, Glimepiride tablets I.P. 1 mg manufactured by Apple Formulations and others.

Dhanbad doctor couple gets extortion text of Rs 1 Cr: IMA seeks CM help to arrest extortionists, threatens strike if govt fails to act
In response to the ongoing extortion threats faced by a doctor couple and other doctors in Dhanbad, the Indian Medical Association, the Dhanbad branch of Jharkhand has declared its intention to commence an indefinite strike starting from December 30.
The association has announced that it plans to continue with its strike unless the government takes action against the criminals and provides adequate security to the doctors who are being constantly threatened by these extortionists causing them to be completely in shock.
