Doctors to declare their earnings from pharma in affidavit, violations to bring 3-month suspension: NMC Draft Ethics Guidelines
Announcing a crackdown on the doctor-pharma nexus that seems to be running in various forms across the country, the National Medical Commission in its recently issued "National Medical Commission Registered Medical Practitioner (Professional Conduct) Regulations, 2022" has laid down many points prohibiting doctors AND THEIR FAMILIES from taking any kinds of gifts or money from pharma and medical device companies, linking the same to a penalty that can go upto 3 months suspension.
The guidelines also state that doctors may have to file an affidavit declaring their financial earnings and or benefits received in the past 5 past years from any pharmaceutical companies or allied health sector.

FMGE June 2022: NBE releases admit cards
Through a recent notice, National Board of Examination (NBE) has released the Admit Cards for FMGE June 2022. Besides, the NBE has published the list of candidates who have failed to submit the required documents and consequently their admit cards have been put on hold.
The admit cards for FMGE June 2022 have been made live on NBEMS website https://nbe.edu.in/.Candidates can download the same using their login credentials.

Monkeypox case tally rises in Spain , Health Ministry says
Health authorities on Thursday said that 25 new cases of monkeypox were reported in Spain which brings the total cases to 84 in one of the main hot spots of the recent outbreak. The cases are also increasing in other parts of the country like Canada and in parts of Europe Spain, England and Portugal.
Minister of Health Carolina Darias on Wednesday said Spain would buy monkeypox vaccines as part of the EU joint vaccine purchases and confirmed that the west African strain, which has a fatality rate in about 1% of cases, was the one detected in Spain.
