Patient attacks female MBBS intern at SVIMS Tirupati, grabs hair and bangs her head
When the entire country is waiting for justice in the rape and murder of a PG trainee doctor at Kolkata-based RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, a female intern doctor was recently assaulted by a patient at Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences (SVIMS), Tirupati.
The video of the incident, which was captured by a CCTV camera in the hospital, went viral on social media platforms. It showed how the attacker, a patient, grabbed the female intern doctor by her hair and banged her head on the steel frame of a hospital bed.

NMR Effect: Kerala Medical Council might suspend new registration process until NMC issues clarification
With the National Medical Register (NMR) being operative, the Kerala State Medical Council (KSMC) might suspend processing new applications for registrations as all the new medical registrations will now be submitted through the central portal of the National Medical Commission (NMC) i.e. NMR, TNIE has reported.
Due to the possibility of suspension of registration by KSMC, the MBBS doctors, who are planning to start practice in the State of Kerala, may encounter delays in the process.

Karnataka MBBS admission bond policy: 1-year service requirement, Rs 15 lakh penalty
Candidates taking admission to MBBS course in Karnataka will have to undergo one-year compulsory rural service in Government hospitals as per the Karnataka Compulsory Service Training by Candidates Completed Medical Courses, Act 2012 and Karnataka Compulsory Service by Candidates Completed Medical courses (Counseling, Allotment and Certification) (Amendment) Rules, 2017.
Until the completion of the compulsory service, the candidates will get only temporary registration and permanent registration will be provided to the MBBS graduates only after they fulfil the conditions of the compulsory rural service for one year.

MAMC MD student found dead in hostel, investigation underway
In a tragic incident, an MD medico of Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC) was found dead hanging from a ceiling fan in his hostel room.
While the police investigating the case suspect suicide, no suicide note has been recovered from the spot. Initial reports suggest that the incident may be a case of suicide, though authorities have yet to confirm the cause of death.

RG Kar medico death case: CBI raids ex-principal home for 13 Hours, seizes
To verify the allegations of financial irregularities against the former principal of RG Kar Medical College Hospital, Sandip Ghosh during his tenure there, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), investigating this case recently conducted a search operation for 13 hours at Ghosh's residence and seized the documents recovered from the spot.
The investigation team of the agency along with central forces, reached Ghosh's residence at approximately 6 am on August 25. However, they were required to wait for nearly one and a half hours before he finally opened the doors. After continuing the search operation for 13 hours, the agency came out at nearly 8.50 pm, carrying piles of documents that they reportedly seized from the premises.
