11-month-old conjoined twins separated at Delhi AIIMS
Doctors at All India India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi successfully separated conjoined twins after an operation that lasted for several hours.
''The separated pair of twins were joined at the level of the chest and upper part of the belly and were facing each other. Major organs were shared between the twin sisters, including the liver, the heart's covering layers, the ribcage, the diaphragm, and the abdominal wall,'' the AIIMS said in a statement on Wednesday.
The Pediatric Surgery Department, AIIMS Delhi, under the leadership of Dr Minu Bajpai, successfully separated the conjoined twins in June, it said.

The National Board of Examinations (NBE) has invited applications for the NEET SS 2023 from eligible candidates seeking admissions to DM, MCh and DNB SS courses this academic year.
The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) shall conduct the NEET-SS 2023 on 9th and 10th September 2023 at various examination centers across the country. The different groups shall be examined on 9th and 10th September 2023.
The concerned candidates are advised to note the following details for application process, eligibility criteria, fee, scheme of examination and its centres for admission to various DM, MCh and DNB SS courses being offered at medical institutions across the country.
