In an IVF breakthrough, ‘sperm-injecting robot’ produce twin girls
In a major breakthrough in in-vitro fertilisation (IVF) field, a “sperm-injecting robot” successfully fertilised more than a dozen eggs which resulted in the birth of “two twin girls”. Sperm-injecting robot was developed by engineers from Spain's Barcelona.
IVF is a fertility treatment that involves fertilizing an egg with sperm outside of the body and then implanting the fertilized egg back into the uterus.
42 seats available for FMGs willing to enroll for internship, clarifies Delhi Medical Council
Amidst the demands from medical graduates from abroad seeking clarification regarding the number of seats available for internships, the Delhi Medical Council has now issued a public notice and informed that a total number of 42 seats are available only in certain hospitals.
Providing details about the number of seats available at the medical colleges, DMC in its notice dated April 27, 2023 has informed that there are 18 FMG Internship seats available at Lady Hardinge Medical College (LHMC), and another 13 seats available at Vardhaman Mahavir Medical College (VMMC).

Telangana junior doctors demand 15% stipend hike, threaten to boycott medical services
Referring to the unresolved issue of stipend hike, Junior doctors belonging to all the government medical colleges in Telangana are going to initiate a boycott of medical services from May 3, 2023.
Announcing this decision in a recent press release, the Telangana Junior Doctors Association (TJUDA) has mentioned how the 15% stipend hike is due since January 2023.
The association further informed in the release that they had been given assurance that their issue regarding to stipend hike will be addressed in 15 to 20 days. Since the matter is still unresolved, the doctors will boycott all medical services from May 3, 2023.

Bengal woman delivers baby on r-rickshaw after being denied admission to hospital, child dies
A pregnant woman delivered her baby on a Toto e-rickshaw in Krishnanagar town of Nadia district in West Bengal after doctors denied to admit her to a hospital. Family members alleged that the woman was taken to the hospital on Wednesday. Where, the on-duty doctor refused to admit her, diagnosing that her delivery was not due until a month after the preliminary examination.
