Final year MBBS student at Safdarjung Hospital hangs self in hostel room
In a shocking incident, a final-year MBBS student at the Safdarjung Hospital allegedly hanged herself in a hostel room, police said. The police post at the hospital received information about the incident at 3.30 am on Thursday, they said.
The student, a resident of Delhi, was residing at the MBBS Girls Hostel, Safdarjung Hospital. She was found in a room in the MBBS Hostel of the hospital.

One year service in rural, tribal areas now mandatory for PG medicos in Andhra Pradesh
A one-year service in rural and tribal areas is to be made compulsory for post-graduate medical students who complete their course with government support.
"The government has taken a policy decision in this regard and necessary orders will be issued soon," Andhra Pradesh Principal Secretary (Health) M T Krishna Babu said.

NMC reverses its stand on TEQ norms for non medical teachers, says old rules will be followed
Filing an affidavit before the Delhi High Court, the National Medical Commission (NMC) has reversed its stand on the reduction of permissible percentage of "non-medical" teachers with medical M.Sc/Ph.D qualifications.
The Apex medical commission filed the affidavit in response to a writ petition filed by the National M.Sc Medical Teachers' Association (NMMTA) and other associations and individuals on the guidelines published in the Minimum Requirements for Annual MBBS admissions Regulations, 2020.

Jenburkt pharma launches FDC- Nervijen D3
Known for its popular brand Nervijen, Mumbai-based Jenburkt Pharmaceuticals Limited has recently launched a fixed-dose combination (FDC) of Methylcobalmin & Vitamin-D3 (Cholecalciferol) under the brand name Nervijen D3 tablets in India.
This FDC aims to address the issue of Vitamin D3 and B12 deficiencies, concurrently seen in neuropathy patients due to nutritional deficiency.
The combination of Nervijen D3 consists of Methylcobalamin 1500mcg, Vitamin D3 1000 IU, Alpha Lipoic Acid 100mg, Folic acid 1.5mg, Benfotiamine 7.5mg, Inositol 1.5mg and Biotin 5mcg.

Jenburkt pharma launches FDC- Nervijen D3
SII QHPV vaccine against cervical cancer to be launched by year-end, to be priced between Rs 200-400: Adar Poonawalla
India's first indigenously developed quadrivalent Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) vaccine for the prevention of cervical cancer will be launched in a few months and made available to the people in an range of Rs 200-400, Serum Institute of India CEO Adar Poonawalla said on Thursday.
Speaking at an event held to announce the scientific completion of the vaccine, Union Minister of Science and Technology Jitendra Singh said the vaccine will be affordable and the government will ensure that it is accessible to the common man.
