NMC tells medical colleges, appellants to follow procedure for filing appeals, notifies on timeline, checklist of requisite documents
Taking note of the fact that several medical colleges or appellants are still not following the prescribed procedure for filing 1st and 2nd appeals before the National Medical Commission (NMC), the Apex medical body once again issued a public notice specifying the process.
The Commission has informed the medical colleges or appellants that all appeals along with relevant documents, may be preferred by Dean/Principal of the Medical College/ appellant to the Commission by addressing to Chairman, NMC via EMAIL ONLY at `nmc_appeal@nmc.org.in'

Drug Alert: 53 Drug samples fail to qualify CDSCO test, 3 declared spurious
In its latest drug alert, the apex drug regulatory body, the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO), has flagged 51 medicine batches for failing to qualify for a random drug sample test for the month of July, while three drug samples have been declared spurious.
The list of Drugs declared as Not of Standard Quality includes Stadmed's Paracin Plus Suspension (Ibuprofen and Paracetamol Suspension), Hindustan Antibiotics' Ornidazole and Ofloxacin Tablets IP, Alves Healthcare's Rabeprazole Gastro-Resistant Tablets IP 20 mg, Zee Laboratories' Amoxycillin and Potassium Clavulanate Tablets I.P. 625 mg, Zenith Drugs' Cyproheptadine Hydrochloride Syrup IP (Hungree Syrup), and others.

2 NEET aspirants commit suicide shortly after taking mock exam, Kota coaching centres told to halt routine tests
Amid rising suicide cases among NEET students in Rajasthan's Kota, the district administration has issued directions to stop conducting routine tests and examinations at coaching centres for two months with immediate effect.
The Kota district administration, citing the need for mental support, stayed the tests and examinations for two months.
"In order to provide mental support and security to the studying/residential students, the examinations, being conducted from time to time, in all coaching institutes operating in Kota, have been stayed with immediate effect for the next two months," read an official release by the district administration on Sunday.
