Names of medical colleges not paying stipend to medicos should be made public
Stating that the names of the medical colleges which took back the stipend paid to the PG medical students, should be made public, a Kerala-based ophthalmologist and health activist Dr KV Babu has questioned the National Medical Commission (NMC).
This comes after a survey conducted by the NMC revealed that the stipend given to 1228 students by the colleges/institutes was taken back by the management.

Himalaya Wellness Corporation moves to court against hepatologist over alleged defamation, doctor's X account suspended
Following a lawsuit filed by Himalaya Wellness Corporation, a civil court in Bengaluru has now directed X (formerly Twitter) to suspend the account of Dr. Cyriac Abby Philips, who is a hepatologist from Kerala and operates the popular X handle '@theliverdr'.
The civil court bench issued such an ex-parte interim injunction order after Himalaya alleged that Dr. Philips made defamatory allegations against the company products.

Provide in-vivo data, global data: CDSCO panel tells Glenmark on pulmonary FDC in inhalation suspension
In reaction to the request for a waiver of bioequivalence (BE) and Phase III clinical trials for the inhalation suspension of the pulmonary drug combination Glycopyrrolate, Formoterol Fumarate Dihydrate, and Budesonide (25mcg+20mcg+500mcg), the Subject Expert Committee (SEC) functional under the Central Drug Standard Control Organization (CDSCO) has opined the drug major Glenmark Pharmaceuticals to provide both in-vivo study data and global data concerning the Fixed-Dose Combination (FDC) in Inhalation Suspension dosage form.

Piramal Pharma gets 2 USFDA observations for Bethlehem facility
Piramal Pharma has announced that the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) has concluded a Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Inspection with two observations at the Company's Bethlehem facility.
The inspection was held from 18th September 2023 to 27th September 2023.
"On conclusion of the inspection, a Form-483 was issued with 2 observations," the Company informed in a BSE filing.
