NBEMS Releases Tentative Exam Schedule for FMGE, GPAT, DNB, DrNB and More; Check Dates
The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has released the tentative schedule for various medical examinations to be held between January and June 2026.
In this regard, NBEMS has issued a notice on December 29, 2025, on its official website.
However, NBEMS has stated through a notice that this schedule is not final. The dates are subject to change. The final dates will be shared later through an official notice on the NBEMS website. The schedule includes major national-level exams such as FMGE, GPAT, DNB, DrNB, Diploma Final Exams, FDST, FET, and PDCET.

NEET PG 2026 Absent from NBEMS Tentative Exam Calendar Till June, Aspirants Anxious
The postgraduate medical aspirants are worried and concerned as there is no mention of the tentative date for the National Eligibility-Entrance Test Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2026 examination in the academic calendar released by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS).
NBEMS on Monday (29/12/2025) released the tentative schedule of forthcoming NBEMS examinations and notified about conducting several examinations during January to June 2026.

NMC Directs Hospitals to Maintain Constant Anti-Rabies Vaccine and Immunoglobulin Stock At All Times
The National Medical Commission (NMC) has issued a public notice directing all medical colleges and healthcare institutions to ensure strict compliance with the directions of the Supreme Court of India concerning the prevention of stray dog entry into institutional premises, following a rise in dog-bite incidents across the country.
The public notice pertains to the Suo Motu Writ Petition, titled “City Hounded by Strays, Kids Pay Price”, wherein the Supreme Court issued stringent and time-bound directives to secure public institutions such as educational establishments, hospitals, sports complexes, bus stands, and railway stations from stray dog ingress.

NCDRC Upholds Rs 55 Lakh Compensation in Ludhiana Facial Cancer Surgery Negligence Case
Upholding the State Commission's order, the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (NCDRC) has held a Ludhiana-based hospital, its oncology surgeon, and pathologists at a medical college liable for medical negligence, over the performance of a radical facial cancer surgery on a patient without a confirmed diagnosis.
The case goes back to 2014 when the patient, a dentist by profession, noticed a small lesion on her right cheek. She underwent an excision biopsy at Mediways Hospital, Ludhiana, during which a small tissue sample was removed for examination. The biopsy specimen was sent to Dayanand Medical College (DMC) for histopathological analysis.
